Running a Farm Stand Session
A Farm Stand session is a QR-based way to sell in person — at a market, a pop-up, or your driveway. You create a session, add items with their own quantities, choose whether to accept card and/or cash, and share a QR code buyers scan to order on their phones. Inventory is tracked per session, and the stand auto-closes when you're done.
Farm Stand sessions bring your storefront to wherever you're selling in person. Instead of juggling a separate cart and a card reader, buyers scan a QR code and order from their own phones — and you get a clean record of every sale.
Set up a session
- Create a session with a title and optional location and note
- Add items from your products and set the quantity available for the day
- Choose payment methods: card, cash, or both (cash is a Pro option)
- Activate the session and display the QR code at your table
How buyers order
A buyer scans the QR, sees your session's items and what's left, adds what they want, and checks out — paying by card on their phone or choosing cash to settle with you in person. Session inventory updates as orders come in, so you won't oversell the last loaf.
Set realistic per-item quantities for the session — it prevents overselling during a rush and shows buyers an honest 'X left' as you go.
After the session
Your dashboard shows the session's order count and revenue, and the stand auto-closes when it ends so nothing lingers open. Pair a farm stand with the farmers market vendor checklist, and understand the payment side in how payments work.

Frequently asked questions
Do buyers need an app to order at my stand?
No. They scan your session's QR code, which opens a simple page on their phone where they pick items and check out. No app or account hassle — just scan and order.
Can I take cash at a farm stand?
Card is available whenever your payment account is connected. Accepting cash through a farm stand session is a Pro option; on the Free plan you can run a card-only stand.
